Prep Provider Agreement

The CFA Ottawa Society and Becker CPA Review Corp. d/b/a Stalla Review for the CFA Exams (“Stalla”), share a common goal of serving the CFA community by preparing CFA candidates to succeed on the CFA exam by providing an effective and efficient training program that is highly responsive to the members’ needs. Stalla follows the CFA Institute Prep Provider Guidelines and to further that goal, The CFA Ottawa Society and Stalla are pleased to annouce the following:

Member Discounts
The CFA Ottawa Society members and candidates shall be eligible to receive a $300 discount from the current regular tuition price of any Enhanced Stalla System course or a $200 discount from the current regular tuition price of any Stalla System course.

This discount will be available for all 3 levels of the CFA Exam and applies to any of the following:

• Live CFA Review Course
• Online CFA Review Course
• Self-Study CD CFA Review Course

The discounted tuition includes all course materials: Stalla Study Guides and Exam Volume, Lecture Notes, Lecture CDs and PassMaster software. Enhanced System students will also receive the Stalla Flashcards and Stalla Mock Exam & Review Program (Live or Self-Study CD version). The CFA Ottawa Society members enrolled in a Stalla System course will be eligible to participate in Stalla's Tuition waiver Guarantee program which allows a candidate to repeat a course if they do not pass the exam (See Stalla Website for details).

All other product and service offerings from Stalla will be available to The CFA Ottawa Society members at regular prices.

CFA Exam Scholarship

The CFA Ottawa Society is pleased to announce it will be sponsoring up to 10 scholarships for Ottawa area Candidates writing the June 2010 Level I, II, and III CFA examinations. For the scholarship application, click here.

Mock Exam

Dear Candidates, Dear Candidates,

The CFA Ottawa Society is offering CFA practice exams for each of Levels I, II and III. The mock exams are written by the Boston Security Analyst Society (BSAS). BSAS is one of the oldest societies within the CFA Institute and has 14 years experience in developing and offering CFA practice exams for all three levels of study.

There are two mock exam options available. Option one includes both a practice exam and access to an online database of questions. The second option includes the practice exam only. Each option features the following:

Option 1 (2010 Practice Exam and Online Test Bank):

• Full-length, properly formatted practice exam based on the 2010 Learning Outcome Statements® with both morning and afternoon sections.
• Detailed answer key with curriculum references, explanations and calculations (when appropriate).
• Access to the Online Test Bank which includes the last three years’ practice exam questions and is subdivided into topical areas.
• The Online Test Bank includes 700 questions for Level I, 360 questions for Level II, and 210 questions for Level III. The Level III questions include 180 multiple choice and 30 constructed response.

The exams are created with a focus on the most recent Body of Knowledge® and the intent is to give local CFA candidates the opportunity to write a complete mock CFA exam.
